Hi everyone and welcome. If youre here that means that you found Save Third Watch UK! Good on you. This board was created to provide a better fourm for us to discuss Third Watch and how we should go about organising ourselves and how to approach Channel 4. It's quite like the C4 site but it's more specific!

General Usefull Information:
1. Orange text is generally used for links, to other parts of this site, or occasionally to elsewhere. Links are usually literal though. If you want to access a thread, click on the name of the thread, not the name of the person who started it for instance. Also worth noting with threads, you can jump into a specific page of a thread by clicking on a page number (when shown).
2. Most pages on this site need to be refreshed constantly. Even when you change page, you are likely to get an old version of the page you change to. Keep hitting F5 or the refresh button.
3. If you go to the home page, you can see what time the latest post was added to each board.
Click on a board and you can see the threads ordered with those at the top being where posts have been most recently added.
This makes it quite easy to locate where conversations are happening.
4. On the homepage you can scroll down and gain access to the Latest Messages list showing the last ten messages across the forum. It doesn't show posts on the BBC3 "24" board, to avoid spoilers. However, if there are other boards you don't want to see, these will show up in Latest Messages so be a little bit careful with this feature.
5. Also at the bottom of the homepage is a list of members currently online. This list is not necessarily strictly accurate though. If people don't logout when they leave, they still show up as being online, for a while at least.
6. On the toolbar at the top of the screen, one of the icons is for "profile". If you click on this it gives you access to a screen where you can modify some of the information stored about you. Date of birth, gender for instance. You can also select an avatar here from the list of those available or add one of your own. (See my separate thread on adding a photo.)
7. Also on the profile page, you can alter the time showing on this site. By default the time on this site is set 6 hours behind UK time. To adjust the time showing on your screen to UK time, put +6 in the appropriate box. If you live somewhere else, you'll have to work it out for yourself. If you're not sure, make a guess. You can always change it again.
